Kathryn L. Pearson, Ph.D.Kathy is Director, Healthcare Management Programs at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is responsible for strategic planning, new business development, and overall business and financial oversight of the operations.
Kathy is also president of a consulting firm, PriSim Quantitative Methods, which specializes in quantitative methods such as the development of computer simulation, statistical modeling, forecasting, and the development of other analytical decision models. Clients include companies in the pharmaceutical and health care fields, the U.S. Army, and manufacturing firms.
In the academic arena, Kathy is an Adjunct Professor in the Operations and Information Management at the University of Pennsylvania. She has taught computer simulations, probability and statistics, and currently teaches a process analysis course to the Wharton MBA students.
Kathy holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Auburn University, a M.S. in Decision Sciences from Georgia State University, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering/Management Sciences from Northwestern University. |
